We've been using this item in our 2006 Honda Element for 2 months now. My 10 month old, 20 pound daughter has been using the item rear-facing. This is my only problem with the item. When rear-facing in this type of vehicle, it is an enormous task to get in and out of the car. I have to get into the open back seat with my daughter in order to put her in the car seat. Other than that, everything seems very comfortable & safe. The harness is easy to adjust & don/doff. The Cowmooflage is great!
I hate to admit that I will probably forward face the car seat sooner than I had planned (not before 12 months) just because it is so difficult to get her in and out with it rear-facing.

Installation was a breeze and the carseat looked so comfortable! My son falls asleep in it everytime. I had read where this carseat was extremely bulky. I have a Nissan Murano and there is plenty of room for other backseat passengers. I bought this carseat from Amazon about two weeks ago and I checked back to see if the price was the same and it had dropped about $67 so I returned it and got a lighter color (waverly). All in all this is the best carseat out there, NO DOUBT. I have tried a few and they are either uncomfortable or I have to put towels under the carseat to get them secured. I would never think that carseats are made for you to have to put TOWELS underneath them, thats crazy! All other carseats moved around and I could never get them tight. This carseat doesn't move AT ALL!! Get it, you won't be disappointed!

I own the Boulevard 65 and now the Boulevard 70 and am very happy with both. The benefit of the 70, other than the changed weight limits, is the the more compact size without losing any safety features. Installing the car seat in the middle of the backseat now leaves plenty of space in the backseat for 2 adults. With the 65, which is still an excellent car seat, there was less room and it made it tight for 2 adults in the backseat with the car seat.

This seat is wonderful. It was SUPER easy to install. It only took a few minutes. I have a smaller car (Toyota Carolla) and it fits great with room for passengers on both sides. My daughter seems to be very comfortable and fell asleep the first time she used it! I would recommend this to anyone. Amazon price is amazing. You can't beat britax quality! Glad I waited for the new model (70) to come out...it has a smaller footprint on the car! We love it!!

While $300 is a lot to spend on a car seat, the Boulevard has a bunch of extra features, such as added EPS foam to protect baby's head in a side-impact crash. There's a removable infant pillow so that babies fit more securely in the seat. A belly pad and padded harness also add comfort. I feel like my little guy is completely protected.

I had ordered the Britax Boulevard 70 Convertible car seat after trying several different convertible seats and it has to be the best. I drive a Honda Civic 4 door and a Toyota Tacoma 4 door both smaller vehicles but this is the only car seat that would fit in our vehicles. It is a little costly but worth every penny, as it is sturdy, looks nice and our baby looks comfortable sitting in it too. I would recommend this seat to all my friends.

My baby was 4 and half months old when she started hating sitting in her infant car seat for long trip. So we decided to upgrade her car seat to something that sits more upright. I am a mom who will spend extra to buy the best when it comes to safety so this car seat fits the bill.
Britax advertised that you can put newborn in it. So considering my baby was over 15lbs at that time, we didn't think it would be a problem for her to sit in it.
Well, not quite. First of all, she is too short to reach the "true impact" side protection even after I adjusted it. Second, for a baby who cannot sit up completely unassisted, she couldn't really control her neck or body as well as a 8 month old does. So when we went for a 35 min drive and she fell in sleep, her whole head leaned forward and almost touched her tummy.She looked like a bended ball! So I know she is not ready for it yet.
Now she is nearly 6 months old, we will probably try it again in a few weeks.
I am sure for older babies, this is the best seat you can buy. The fact that it holds up to 70 lbs is really great. That means, one car seat all the way to 4,5 years old!I am looking forward to use it full time. But for now, she is in her infant seat.

update:
Now my daughter is 9 months old. She fits perfectly in this car seat. She now weights 20+ lbs and her height is at 95%, but she is still only taking half of the space, if not less so I definitely see the room to grow into this chair.

To put her in rear facing position is pain especially in winter. But I think it will be the same with other convertible car seat. We drive her to the mountains so I am very comforting to know that she is well protected.

I purchased this carseat for my son who just turned a year old and has outgrown his Graco Snugride. I found it a little difficult to tighten the straps and had to get my husband to help me, but other than that, this is an excellent carseat that lives up to its reputation. It is quite heavy, which I think is due to the new steel frame and construction. The padding is also very nice, my son fell asleep in it the first time I put him in it! There are these little velcro pieces on the side that are meant to keep the straps out of the way when you are getting your child in and out of the seat, but for some reason on mine (and on another Blvd floor model in BabiesRUs), it was hard to get the velcro pieces to align. However, that would be my only minor complaint about this seat.

I absolutely LOVE this car seat and so does my 3 1/2 year old son. This car seat has many improvements over the previous generations of Britax. My son sits much lower in the seat and since they lowered the seat the top does not obstruct my vision in the rear window anymore. It has three recline positions I installed it forward facing in the middle recline position and when he falls asleep in the car his head does not slump forward. The car seat design is also slimmer giving more room in the back seat for my daughter and with the height adjustment being at the top of the car seat there are no knobs on the side for my daughters head to hit in the event of an accident. I like the slimmer design because it keeps his body from too much sidways motion in a side impact postition. However I think that heavier children would be really really snug, my son is a very tall slim 28 lb boy so if you have a heavy child he/she may not fit too comfortably in the seat. I would definately try it out in store before purchasing. But if you do purchase online I suggest Amazon since you can return the car seat for any reason for up to a year. So if you do get it and then your child does not fit you can return it and Amazon.com pays the shipping. A lot of people complain about the price of the car seat but at 279.99 here is the breakdown. If you purchase this car seat when your child is an infant and plan to use it for the full 7 years (until expiration) then the car seat price is $3.33 per month. Even if you are only planning on using the car seat for three years (36 months) then the price breaks down to 7.75 per month. And of course your child's safety cannot compare to a few bucks a month!

So far, so pretty-good with the Boulevard for us. We chose this seat based on CR reviews, Baby Bargains reviews and the fact that it was easy to adjust the straps, both for tightness and height. Our son seems very comfortable in the seat and naps in it with no issues. However, the seat has some drawbacks that really shouldn't exist considering its exorbitant price.

- The seat is easy to install, but very heavy and very large. We have a 2010 Toyota Rav-4, but still think that the seat is overly large. It fits, but I don't think we will be able to use the same model as a second seat in our smaller sedan.

- The straps twist CONSTANTLY which, again, shouldn't be an issue since this was a $300 car seat. Seriously, they couldn't have solved that problem with a small fraction of my purchase price? They are also difficult to keep out of the way while setting my little guy in the seat, so I have to dig them out from under him (before untwisting them) almost every time. They did include velcro on the straps and seat to try to help with this issue, but it is basically useless.

- I don't know if it is due to the overall size of the seat or if it is just a bane of rear-facing seats, but it is awkward to get our son in and out of the seat in the rear-facing position. Even at 10 months, he HATES getting into and out-of the seat, though he is fine once he is in and buckled. I almost have to hold him at arms length, drop him in and then lean around the seat and into the car to fasten the harnesses. Super annoying.

- I have not yet tried to remove the seat fabric for cleaning (and after reading some of the other reviews, I am not eager to try it) but the top buckle is a pain in the neck to clean if anything gets in it. Again, this could be the case with any seat, but after spending 20 minutes trying to scrape out spit-up, I keep a bib in the car to put on my son immediately.

All that being said, I am fairly happy with the seat and since our son is quite tall (almost 34 inches at 10 months), we needed a bigger seat to accommodate keeping him rear facing as long as possible, so this was probably our best bet.
